Celestia Audition Video How to Submit (35–45s)
Your audition video helps our team see your energy, creativity, and connection to the spirit of Celestia. Follow the steps below to record and submit your audition.
1) Prep (1–2 min)
-
Camera: A phone is perfectly fine.
-
Shoot in landscape (horizontal). 16:9, 1080p, 30 fps.
-
Framing:
-
Singers: chest-up or waist-up.
-
Dancers / Poi / Cosplay: full body, head-to-toe in frame.
-
-
Lighting: Use bright, even light. Avoid strong backlight or windows behind you.
-
Audio (Singers): quiet room, track volume low enough that your voice is clear (no distortion).
-
Space (Dancers/Poi): safe distance from walls/people; clear floor. (Poi: practice rods OK—LED not required for audition.)
2) Make your ID slate (the sign)
On a plain sheet, write clearly and large:

FULL NAME

CITY

STATE

PHONE

CATEGORY: Singer / Dancer / Poi / Cosplay

(Use a dark marker. Hold it steady at chest level.)

3) Record
(keep total length 35–45s)
-
0:00–0:05 (5s) — Hold the sign (your ID slate) to camera (fill the frame).
-
Optional: say your name + category while holding it.

-
0:05–0:40 (30–35s) — Your audition (one continuous take).
-
Poi: smooth basics or short combo (clean planes, control).
-
Cosplay: short character moment or skill pose sequence.
-
-
Dancers: a clean combo that shows musicality & control.
-
Singers: one verse + chorus (no heavy effects).
-
0:40–0:45 (up to 5s) — Quick “Thank you” or end clean.
Tip: If you go long, redo it. We can only accept 45s max.

Quick category tips
-
Singers: no auto-tune; track low; capture your natural tone.
-
Dancers: pick music that hits accents; show control, then power.
-
Poi: smooth, clean planes beat speed; no need for LED—control first.
-
Cosplay: show character presence + a signature move/prop (no blades/fire).
